FOCO Partners with Pitt Panthers as Official Face Covering Provider of Pitt Athletics

PITTSBURGH — Pitt Athletics and JMI Sports are proud to announce a partnership with FOCO. FOCO has been named “the Official Face Covering Provider of Pitt Athletics”.

FOCO will receive sideline exposure for the 2020 Pitt football season, as all Pitt football student-athletes, coaches and staff will wear FOCO branded masks and gaiters. The partnership includes the right to sell Pitt branded FOCO merchandise, digital ad campaigns on PittsburghPanthers.com and the Pitt mobile app, social media campaigns and email marketing opportunities.

Pitt Athletics and FOCO’s collaboration only continues to grow, as the partnership initially began in June when FOCO provided nearly 140,000 masks to Athletics and the University for students, faculty, staff and visitors. At that time, FOCO pledged a donation of $15,000 to the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Vaccine Research (CVR), which is working to create a vaccine for the virus that causes the disease COVID-19.

“The safety of the student-athletes, coaches and staff is our top priority, making Pitt Athletics’ partnership with FOCO especially meaningful,” said Heather Lyke, Director of Athletics. “An important step in ensuring that Pitt’s fall competition seasons continue, is the wearing of protective face coverings. Our partnership with FOCO contributes to maintaining the health and well-being of our teams and demonstrates that the Pitt Athletics community is in this together.”
